The Laurel Art Guild has monthly live art sessions. All interested artists gather at various locations throughout the region to draw, paint, and photograph local landscapes or still-life setups when inside. Examples of our artwork from these ventures are featured below. In December, we opted to take a field trip. Instead of producing our own artwork, we visited the National Gallery and viewed two fascinating and enlightening exhibits of historic artwork– the first entitled American Landscapes in Watercolor, and the second Photography and the Black Arts Movement, 1955-1985.
